Trent Miller - Brand Silhouette

  1. My silhouette project has taught me a lot about what I like to buy and what I need. In my project I decided to put the things that I need on the inside, food and beverages, and the things I do not need on the outside. The things that were on the inside are a basic necessity to get by. Without food and water it is not possible to live. The outside symbolizes the things that I buy for entertainment purposes, known as the want. Every consumer has a want, but do they really need that want? The silhouette project showed me that a lot of the things that I consume as a whole I can go without. There are a couple of things that are considered a want, but without them life would be a lot harder. For example life without a computer or a cell phone would be very difficult to communicate with others. I decided to put the things on the inside upside down in order to have a contrast with the products on the outside. While the products on the outside are right side up. I feel like this helped give detail to my silhouette. Overall I feel that the silhouette project helped me open my eyes up to the things that I consume.
