Milk Project- Jamie Kostecki

Mustache Milk is simple and classic, just like its target audience. Intended for men and women over the age of 45, Mustache Milk provides three essential vitamins and minerals needed daily: Calcium, Vitamin D, and zinc. Chalking up a measly 100 calories per serving, Mustache Milk is an easy, healthy pick for men and women looking to get more enjoyment out of life.

In order to attract the intended market, I decided to utilize packaging that’s straightforward and clutter-free. Flashy, loud, and busy labels are used to catch the attention of children, and that’s just not who we are aiming for. As a result, I chose to use the colors light blue, white, and black. Simple, but not too plain that it will get looked over on the shelf. Light blue on the front label just made sense; purple or green wouldn’t quite produce the same calming effect. Not to mention, the colors of the packaging tend to be associated with the product it contains; what adult would want purple or green milk?

Included on the label are some useful facts about the product: milk helps to build stronger bones and muscles, supports elements in bones and teeth, and builds and repairs cells to promote cell growth while keeping skin healthy. Mustache Milk is also 100% organic—something that our target audience is finding increasingly important. Incorporated into the label is a little bit of humor; Three tips to looking younger and staying healthy: drink Mustache Milk, drink Mustache Milk, and did we mention drink Mustache Milk? I think you get the picture! A cartoon of a classy-looking cow communicates that our milk is the purest out there from the finest possible cows. I was also sure to include the manufacturing address just in case our customers feel like mailing us a letter to tell us how fantastic our milk tastes.

Mustache Milk—Drink it for health, wear it with pride.
