Sculpture - William Lamar

The words I was assigned were 'bulge and swell'. The inspiration for my sculpture is a house. A typical house would only have a roof that ends at the exterior walls. My house is designed with a roof that is bulging out of the top, creating a swelled look. In the world, there are many objects that seem to be over-designed for visual look only. Some of the buildings at Butler have small bulges for no real real structural reason, they are purely visual. Objects that bulge seem to have one end that is larger than it really needs to be.
